And today, we’re covering the most common questions people had during the session. So, let’s explore this “as heard in training” question: “How can I get the most out of Articulate 360 AI Assistant?”

Overall, it’s important to remember that the Articulate 360 AI Assistant empowers you with tools to design courses more efficiently than ever, streamlining your workflows. Let’s explore three AI Assistant tips you should consider adding to your e-learning development toolbox.

Tip 1: Write Image Prompts

The ability to generate images with the AI Assistant offers a whole new level of course customization, saving time and money that might otherwise be spent looking for specific graphics. That said, figuring out how to write a prompt that provides the desired results may be challenging. Fortunately, the AI Text Editor can help! And the great news is that this feature is available in both Storyline 360 and Rise 360.

Here’s how you do it:

  • Start by selecting text on a slide (in Storyline 360) or in your lesson (in Rise 360).
  • Navigate to the AI Edit Text option, and from the drop-down list, select Create an AI image prompt.
  • From there, a description of a potential image is generated, which you can then refine and edit.
  • When you’re satisfied with the description, select Copy and then Paste it into the dialog box for the AI Image prompt.

Tip 2: Create a Course Outline

Sometimes, a big challenge we face is determining how to organize our content. This is especially important when building a course in Rise 360, where one of the first steps requires you to start creating a course outline before adding any content. In Rise 360, the AI Assistant can give you that structure with just a couple of clicks. Let’s explore how this is done!

  • Begin by selecting the New Course > Start With AI option.

Tip: If you instead start with a Blank course, select the AI Assistant button on the home page menu, and select Start with outlining from the drop-down.

  • Next, explain what your course is about, then upload your source documents, and select Continue. The AI Assistant automatically generates an outline for your course, including lesson titles and proposed topics, that you can insert and begin using immediately!

Ok, but what about using this feature in Storyline 360? You can use this Rise 360 feature to help guide the structure of your Storyline 360 course. Simply follow the steps outlined above and then copy the outline to a document. From there, use that as a guide for setting up your scenes and course menu in Storyline 360. Cool, huh?

Tip 3: Fill in The Gaps

Some of us receive content that’s been finalized by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and thoroughly edited for grammar and spelling before it even reaches our desks. But, perhaps you need to add translation scripting. In this way, the AI Inline Text Writing and Editing feature can “fill in the gaps” and generate additional content for your consideration. At a minimum, it can help bypass those frustrating instances of writer’s block by providing writing suggestions.

Note: Keep in mind this tool is intended to supplement and enhance what is written, rather than replace your script writing processes.

So, how does it work?

In Storyline 360, generate AI text from scratch by selecting Insert Text.

In Rise 360, select the Quick Insert > Write with AI option to open the text generator.

Next, explain in your own words what you’re hoping to add, and specify the length or format of the text you need. You can also control the output by adding directions to the prompt that specify the tone, focus, and audience.
